Advancement

There are seven ranks of Scouting:

• Scout

• Tenderfoot

• Second Class

• First Class

• Star

• Life

• Eagle

In addition, there are over 100 merit badges. A Scout must earn 21 in total to reach the rank of Eagle, including 13 required merit badges:

• Camping

• Citizenship in the Community

• Citizenship in Society

• Citizenship in the Nation

• Citizenship in the World

• Cooking

• Communications

  • Cycling or Swimming or Hiking

  • Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving

  • Environmental Science or Sustainability

• Family Life

• First Aid

• Personal Fitness

• Personal Management

Merit badges are done in cooperation with merit badge counselor, and we have counselors for a great number of badges in or affiliated with the troop. Here is the list of counselors. Many badges are also available at summer camp and at Merit Badge University (also the second link for MBU is here).
